Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at mykidsanauthor@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

My kid's an author is an independent publishing company that focuses on publishing and distributing books for young children.

We take your child's writing and apply the 'grownup' stuff like editing, layout, and publishing.

Young children cannot share their stories in print because they are still developing their writing, spelling and computer skills.

At My kid’s an author we do not let that hinder their ability to publish a book that can be treasured and shared for years to come.

You can request our services through our website contact section.

We will contact you and together decide the best way to share their book with us so that we can start the editing, and layout process.

We have various packages to choose from.

  • Standard editing and layout for a 20-page book is $39.99. This also provides you with the option of your own Amazon e-book which can be shared with family.
  • Hard copies (for 24+ pages) are an added option in the US via Amazon - starting from $8 a copy (excluding postage) - you even earn a royalty on copies bought!
  • If your book isn't quite 24 pages we can work with you to increase the count, or we can print the book using different methods e.g. a spiral spine not a solid bound spine.

We have loads of choices available depending on your needs.  For example, maybe you don't need the editing part and just want to publish the original copy from your child?  Drop us a line and let's see what works best for your needs.
